The 210TH gift boxes

“Draw each other naked, think of Titanic!”

This is one of the 25 tasks (presented in black sealed envelopes, and containing sexy, romantic suggestions) in each of the new 210TH luxury gift boxes.

Think Titanic

The concept for the 210TH brand, created by Dutch Fashion & Design graduate Sofie Rockland, is to bring couples together, highlighting the importance of spending ‘real time’ with each other.

Within each of the sleek and enigmatic boxes, and beneath the crisp black tissue, lay a number of massage oil candles, tasks sealed in envelopes, intimate toys and other surprises, each carefully wrapped individually.

The 210TH gift boxes (23.5 x 20 x 10.5 cm) are the ultimate gift, whether to a lover or to a couple, perhaps as a wedding present. They are something truly unique and unforgettable.

The 210TH gift boxes are available in the Classic edition, the top-of-the range box, and in the Holland edition, a box inspired in the land of tulips.

Buy lingerie for the girlfriend and wife, a 3-step guide.

No matter how much we like the idea of being gifted lingerie, many of our men leave much to be desired when it comes to choosing the right piece. That’s why MEME has created an easy guide for men to gift lingerie.

Share this with your significant other, get something you truly like!

So the following is for you, the boyfriends.

1. Where to buy?
Aside from sports and gambling, the internet has another great value add for men: it makes buying these intimate and more discrete purchases all the more pain free…

If you thought talking to a girl for the first time was hard, buying lingerie at a department store is ten times worse. It feels like maze riddled with traps.

Be wise, buy online. Most websites will send your orders in non-branded packages and will have a sound return policy in case the gift doesn’t fit.

2. What size?
Generally the hardest of all questions, yet remarkably easy to answer. If you have access to it, look in the laundry basket. The underwear set she last wore is her regular size (bra sizes come in a number and a letter combo, i.e. 34B, write down both; knickers are easier at S-M-L-XL).

Alternatively, go for the always-chic triangle bra. For non-connoisseurs, triangle bras are cut like bikinis and come in easy S-M-L-XL sizing. If your girlfriend is a Kylie Minogue type, go for a Small, if she is more of a Nigella type, go for XL.

If everything else fails, just ask. We promise she’ll LOVE the anticipation.

3. What do I buy?
Though every woman is different, and therefore it is difficult to generalise, here are some general directions:

You can never go wrong if you buy a bra and knickers set. Make sure they are matching, as you will not get bonus points for getting two sale items in different colours.

Thong or knickers? If you know what style she generally uses, go for it. If in doubt, it is best to go for knickers, as she may feel uncomfortable with less fabric around that area.

A bodysuit, catsuit or babydoll is also a stylish choice, great to spice up bedroom play.

If you are in doubt about colours, black lingerie is always a safe bet. As for materials, lace, satin and silk will always get you the nod of approval.

Finally, play it safe. If you are in doubt on whether the set you chose is too provocative, it probably is (yes, that may leave crotch-less panties out of the equation).

Erica M Legwear at MEME

Designed in New York, made in Italy. Launched in 2012, Erica M is fast becoming one of the hottest properties in bodywear today.

Anne Hathaway at Joe's Pub

Erica M designs bring the patterns all the way up to the top of each pair. The wearer can choose to hide the sexy design details underneath a demure day outfit, or to reveal the design when paired with a shorter flirty evening look. However, by the end of the night, there are still provocative design details that you can choose to reveal when fully disrobing. We call that selective seduction!

The Vivian tights, opaque at the front, transition into a more dramatic, provocative aesthetic that accentuates one’s form and silhouette. Genevieve tights feature a ribbon and bow design that produce a slimming, provocative aesthetic. In the Ava hold-ups, a rope wraps around the upper thigh and climbs down the leg on each side, both ropes are met with a bow.

Venus de Mile End – “You met me at a very strange time in my life”

‘…I’m about to part company with my right ovary after 33-and-a-third long years together. I guess that’s as good a place as any to start.’

You met me at a very strange time in my life.

Yeah, but… thinking about it, this aside could apply to my life at pretty much any point over the last three decades. Along with “Go on, Venus, buy that dress/bag/same pair of shoes…You DESERVE it. You’ve been through an ORDEAL.” The problem being, I’ve been going through some sort of ‘ordeal’ or another for the past 33 years.

I sit here alone in my spinster pad, tapping away at my laptop like Carrie Bradshaw, but fatter, poorer and with better facial bone structure, trying to figure out how to introduce myself. I’m as over-educated as Belle de Jour and as over-medicated as Liz Jones. And while I may be a ‘distressed’ blonde, somewhat clumsy and buxom, perennially single British thirtysomething woman, who works in the London publishing world and cannot handle wine, I ain’t no Bridget Jones. I don’t keep a diary and I’m not agonizing over two middle-class men.

But I am sitting here on the eve of what will be my nineteenth operation in eight years. Or is it eighteenth? Unbelievably, I’ve lost count. I’m about to part company with my right ovary after 33-and-a-third long years together. I guess that’s as good a place as any to start. The story of my body’s journey (with those 19 laborious stop-offs on the way, which you’ll have the pleasure of hearing about in later columns) has unfortunately road-mapped the course of my life. Maybe this is true for all of us, in the end.

I was flattered, amused and more than a little baffled to be asked to write this column. Gender politics and body image issues are my specialty – with extensive lived experience and academic knowledge in both arenas. Sex and dating –not so much! I consider myself romantically dyslexic – effectively a case of arrested development when it comes to negotiating the minefield of heterosexual relations.

‘At a time when most of my peers have picked a partner and are trying to wield a pushchair into their nearest organic pantry, I’ve never even learned to flirt with someone in real life.’

At 33, I’m furnished with a more mature perspective than my peers in some respects, as a result of being forced to confront my mortality at a relatively early age. And yet I am embarrassingly ill-equipped when it comes to jousting with the opposite sex. At a time when most of my peers have picked a partner and are trying to wield a pushchair into their nearest organic pantry, I’ve never even learned to flirt with someone in real life. It’s as if I spent my 20s in a deep emotional coma and have just emerged into a world full of online dating, sexting and compulsory ‘hotness’.

So join me…and feel free to watch, point and laugh as I navigate my way through this Brave New World of boys, lingerie and sex toys. We’ve all been there at some point– I’ve just arrived a little later than most, that’s all.

Felicity Jones, Hysteria Movie.

British beauty, Felicity Jones, is our type of girl. With an Oxford University education and stunning, if ‘girl next door’ looks, Felicity’s latest role is as the daughter of a Harley Street doctor in the soon-to-be released Hysteria movie has us buzzing.

The film, originally released in Canada in 2011, is due out here on 21st September. It tells the comedic story of how the first vibrator was invented as an aid to the cure for ‘Hysteria’, an illness that in Victorian times covered everything from anxiety and depression to sexual frustration via “a tendency to cause trouble”. Sounds to us like true cases of marital boredom!

Typical treatment was the application of a “vulva massage” by the physician. In the film the physician concerned, a handsome young doctor called Dr Mortimer Granville, played by Hugh Dancy, spent his days pleasuring his patients until his hand could no longer cope. A few amends to the electric duster invented by his friend, Lord Edmund St John Smythe, played by the dashing but oh so unavailable Rupert Everett, and the first vibrator was born!

Lord Edmund, we salute you.

To celebrate the release of the film, and the invention of our favourite bedroom toys, MEME are giving away 8 JimmyJane FORM 2 Designer Vibrators (RRP £119) in FREE competitions with Cosmopolitan and Glamour magazines.
